Studio Artists from Arts on the Greenway won prizes last night at the juried Art Show “Call of the Wild” sponsored by Arts Mt. Holly. Stephanie McLaughlin won an honorable mention for her “Birches” watercolor. Sandy Collier took the best in show award for her “Koi” watercolor on rice paper. Stephanie’s sister, Louise, who visits us regularly, also won an honorable mention for her metal sculpture.
Traust Brewery dedicated their Mural 2/16/23. The Mural is part of the Public Arts Advisory Commission’s public art projects and insulations.
Traust is a “Share the Art” location for AOTG. The Public Arts Advisory Members and council attending were from left to right Janice McRorie, Julia Benfield, Mark Bell, Stephanie Mclaughlin, Gwen Bell, Sydney Duarte,(Mural Artist), Treazy Treaz(Mural Artist), Mayor Bryan Hough, Councilman Ivory Craig, and Councilman Jeff Meadows
Nancy Sauser and Wanda Campbell participated in the Luis Ardilla workshop at Awaken Gallery. They produce two pieces of art each.
