"The World of Nature", a student art exhibit opening at Arts on the Greenway held 1-3pm on May 6 was a huge success. Around 200 people attended this event which was funded by a grant through the NC Arts Council, Gaston County Arts Council and contributing sponsors, Nancy Accipiter of Wilcox Real Estate Group and Dr Jon Kaczmarski of the Purple Tooth Dentist. Participating schools included students from Pinewood Elementary and WA Bess. Art Teachers Kelly Scott Brown from Pinewood and Michelle Curnow from WA Bess facilitated the show and each received $125.00 to buy art supplies for their students. The exhibit which includes works from K-5 students from each school will be displayed through mid-September at Arts on the Greenway.
