Oct. 9th Featured Artist

We would like to welcome Sister Jane to our Pop Up Corner Saturday, October 9th! Come meet her and view her lovely art from 11 am-4 pm.

Sister Jane Russell, a School Sister of St. Francis, has taught Theology, at Belmont Abbey
College since 1999. With Master’s and doctoral degrees in Theology, she has taught at
St. Xavier College in Chicago and Creighton University in Omaha before coming to
Belmont Abbey.
She has been drawing and painting on and off since childhood, creating art as avocation
rather than career. Today she paints mainly florals and landscapes in watercolor, from
life or from photographs. Workshops have helped her expand skills in watercolor and
other media like pastels, oil pastels, and collage, but mainly she enjoys letting the free
play of watercolors create the complexity of flowers or forest scene.
